In full: "If I were to choose the film which gave me the most satisfaction, I'd have to choose 'The Sting.' The challenge of working on three different characterizations in a company of top-notch professionals gave me a feeling of real accomplishment - which was, of course, intensified when the film went on to win the Academy Award." Accompanied by 11¾x8¾ mailing envelope addressed in his hand,postmarked Pacific Palisades, California, July 30, 1984.Harold Gould (1923-2010) played the character Kid Twist in The Sting (1973), a film nominated for ten Academy Awards and winning seven, including Best Picture. Leaving a professorship in the drama department of the University of California, he has appeared in over 60 TV and big screen films since 1963, including prominent roles in the slick comedies of Woody Allen (Love and Death, 1975) and Mel Brooks (Silent Movie, 1976). Equally familiar as a TV character actor, Gould was a recurring guest star on such series as The FBI, The Fugitive, Hawaii 5-0, Soap and The Golden Girls. He also played Rhoda's father on the popular sitcom, Rhoda (1974-1978). Lightly creased. Lightly creased. Light "haloing" of ink. Fine condition.
