was nice meeting most of the family. Will write longer later. Love". Harold
(Hal) Prince has a long list of Tony Awards to his credit. He directed and/or
produced the following Tony winners, many of which also earned him Broadway's
coveted plaudit as Best Director: Pajama Game (1955), Damn Yankees
(1956), New Girl in Town (1958), Fiorello! (1960), A Funny
Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1963), Fiddler on the Roof
(1965), Cabaret (1967), Company (1971), A Little Night
Music (1973), Candide (1974), Sweeney Todd (1979),
Evita (1980), and Phantom of the Opera (1988), culminating in a
Lifetime Achievement Tony in 2006. If his nominated plays were added to the
list, "minor" achievements like West Side Story and Kiss of the Spider
Woman, it would be even longer. Prince has also worked in film and
television, including screen adaptations of some of his Broadway productions.
Fiorello! also garnered Prince a Pulitzer Prize. Slightly soiled.
