Photograph signed: "Harold Runnels" in blue felt tip. B/w, 5x7¼. Harold Runnels (1924-1980) was a United States Representative from New Mexico from 1971-1980. After attending Cameron Sate Agricultural College in Oklahoma, Runnels began his career at the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington D.C. in 1942. He moved on to business in 1945 as the manager for the Magnolia Amusement Company in Arkansas, and eventually was chosen as a partner at the Southland Supply Company in New Mexico in 1951. He formed his own Runnels Mud Company in 1953 and added on the RunCo Acidizing & Fracturing Company in 1964. Runnels served as a member of the New Mexico Senate from 1960 to 1970 before he was elected to the House of Representatives in 1970. Corners rounded. Ink notes on verso in unknown hand.
