HAROLD RUNNELS
The U.S. Representative from New Mexico thanks correspondence for the pictures and the entertainment, signs name in blue ink
Typed letter signed: "Harold" in blue ink. 1 page, 7x9. Written on personal House of Representatives letterhead. September 27, 1978. Washington, D.C. In full: "Dear Charlie: Just a note to let you know how very much I appreciated your recent note and enclosed pictures. I haven't ever thought you were shooting blanks, Russ, but I certainly appreciate the kind comments in my behalf now that I am getting on in age too. The office got quite a kick out of your presentation of the candy bar, and needless to say, I enjoyed the attention. We enjoy your brief visits and will be looking forward to your next trip to D.C. Kindest regards to you and yours. Sincerely". Harold Runnels (1924-1980) was a United States Representative from New Mexico from 1971-1980.
