HARRY CAREY, JR.
Candid photograph of the actor with his Golden Boot award, thanking a fan for all his hard work (5¾x4)
Inscribed photograph signed: "For Clint:/Thanks for all your/work for all of us/cowpokes./Best always/Harry Carey Jr", in blue felt tip, color 5¾x4. The son of actors Harry Carey and Olive Golding, Harry Carey Jr. (1921-2012) appeared with John Wayne in several of the classic John Ford westerns, including She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949) and Rio Grande (1950). He had his own TV series (Texas John Slaughter, 1958), and guest starred on most of the classic TV westerns, with numerous appearances on Gunsmoke and Bonanza. He aged gracefully into supporting senior roles, as in Mask (1985) and The Whales of August (1987). Slightly scuffed on signature and inscription, but clearly legible. Fine condition.
