HARRY GREEN This black and white 5¼x3½ photograph is signed by the bespectacled actor and Broadway performer Inscribed Photograph Signed: “To John / Best Wishes / Harry Green” in ink. 5¼x3½. B/w. Harry Green (1892-1958) was a stage performer and actor who could be seen in films and on stage on both sides of the Atlantic. He made his Broadway debut in Yip Yip Yaphank (1918) and his screen debut eleven years later. Green worked on nearly 20 Broadway productions over the ensuing decades. From 1929 to 1958, the performer appeared in films and television shows, starring in The Kibitzer and Be Yourself! in 1930. Decades later he starred in the short-lived United Kingdom comedy show Three Tough Guys (1957). Bowed. Corners lightly worn. Note on verso in unknown hand. Otherwise, fine condition.
