Typed letter signed: "Harry Reasoner" in blue ink. 1 page, 8½x11. Written on personal ABC News letterhead. New York City, New York. November 14, 1972. Addressed to Mr. Sam Borash of Lynn, Massachusetts. In full: "I'm glad you took the time to write to me because your letter was amusing and sympathetic - and not at all ridiculous. On behalf of Howard and myself, I want to thank you for your very kind comments. Sincerely". Known for his wry wit and polished writing, Harry Reasoner (1923-1991)co-founded with Mike Wallace the investigative news program Sixty Minutes at CBS in 1968. He thenswitched networks to co-anchor the ABC Evening News, first with Howard K. Smith and later with Barbara Walters (in the 1970s). Normal mailing folds. Toned. Stained throughout. Worn and soiled.
