Typed Letter signed: "Harry M Reid" in black ink, 1p, 8½x11. No place, 1987 March 15. On U.S. Senate letterhead. To "Dear David". In full: "Inside, you will find the autographed photograph of me that you requested last month. I am sorry that it has taken so long to send the photo, but I just moved into my new Senate office, and things have been a bit hectic around here./ I hope you enjoy the picture. If there is ever anything I can do for you, your family, or any of your friends, please let me know. Best wishes to you and your family./ Sincerely". Photo not included. Harry Reid (1939-2021), a Nevada Democrat, has served as Nevada's congressman (1983-1987) and a U.S. senator (since 1987). He was the Democratic Whip from 1999 to 2005 and functioned as both the Senate Majority Leader (2007-2015)and the Senate Minority Leader (beginning in 2015). Reid, who previously served in Nevada's House of Representatives (1969-1970), was the Lieutenant Governor of Nevada (1970-1974) and an unsuccessful candidate for Mayor of Las Vegas in 1975. Lightly toned. Single horizontal mailing fold. Faint scuff toward center of left edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
