performer. He had a few movie appearances, including in 1930's Puttin' on the
Ritz, featuring the Irving Berlin song. However, most of Richman's
experience was on the stage. He began as a piano accompanist for stars like Mae
West and Nora Bayes, but was a singer, dancer, comedian, songwriter, and
bandleader in his own right. Richman had a total of 10 Broadway appearances
between 1920 and 1935, most of them revues and including George White's
Scandals (1928-1929) and Ziegfield Follies of 1931 (1931).
Richman, an amateur aviator, and Dick Merrill, chief pilot of Eastern
Airlines, made the first roundtrip nonstop crossing of the North Atlantic in
1936. English stage actor HUGH LATIMER (1913-2006) began appearing in
films after his wartime military service. Starring roles included Corridor of
Mirrors (1948) and Last Man to Hang (1956). His final screen
appearance was in Masterpiece Theater's adaptation of Jane Eyre
(1971). English character actor CLIFFORD MOLLISON (1897-1986) appeared on
stage in his early teens and in feature films from the 1930s through 1960s,
adding several guest spots on British TV in the early 1970s. He was the brother
of actor Henry Mollison. Jagged at left edge from removal from bound book. Ink
note (unknown hand) at lower right corner. Otherwise, fine
condition.
