The television producer writes to an autograph collector, inquiring about a Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis signature
Typed letter signed: "Harry Ackerman", in blue ink, 8½x11. August 10, 1989. Albuquerque, New Mexico. In part: "Dear Bill Stanhope: Since Larry Mollin recommended you as a reputable man, I would like to order from you Item 117, which is the Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis card signing". Harry S. Ackerman (1912-1991) was a television producer most active during the 1960's and 1970's, producing on several notable classics including Leave It to Beaver (1957-1958), Dennis the Menace (1961-1963), and Bewitched (1964-1972). In 1985, in recognition for his work with television, Ackerman was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Pencil notes (unknown hand). Paper clip crease on top margin. Light surface creases. Corners lightly worn and creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
