New (1858-1937, born in Indianapolis, Indiana) was a United States Senator from Indiana from 1917 to 1923 and United States Postmaster General from 1923 to 1929 appointed by President Warren Harding and continuing in office under Calvin Coolidge. He was also a reporter, editor, part owner and publisher of the Indianapolis Journal from 1878 to 1903. Paperclip crease at upper center. Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
