owned the Macon Telegraph, publishing a column "What Comes Down My Creek." He
also wrote short stories, including the collection Two Runaways and Other
Stories (1896); novels, the first being a mystery, Sons and Fathers
(1896); and poems. His best-selling book (3 million copies) was the story of an
elderly black man, Aeneas Africanus (1920). Slightly worn. Otherwise,
fine condition.
