In full: "A tablet to commemorate the labors of the Surgical Dressings' Committee will be unveiled on Friday, the twenty-fifth of May, at the Brigham Hospital. It is desirable that there should be some appropriate ceremonies, and at the suggestion of Mrs. Mead I am asking a number of people, who from first to last were intimately connected with this important work, to meet in my rooms at the Brigham Hospital on the afternoon of Thursday, April twelfth, say four-thirty o'clock (entrance Van Dyke Street, opposite Infants' Hospital). I hope very much that you will be sufficiently interested and able to attend." Cushing was Surgeon-in-Chief at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, Professor of Surgery at Harvard University (1912-1932) and Professor of Neurology at Yale University (1932-1937). An eminent neurosurgeon, he was awarded the 1926 Pulitzer Prize in Biography for writing The Life of Sir William Osler. Lightly creased. Vertical fold touches the "r" in Harvey. Fine condition.
