Himmler initials the German translation of a letter to Hitler.
ANS: "HH" at top of typed letter, 1p, 8¼x11½. German translation of a letter to Hitler from Dr. J. van de Wiele, Director of the German-Flemish Working Group pledging his support. Himmler has written a word and the date, 1943 September 11. Himmler became Chief of the Gestapo in 1936. He was second only to Hitler in power. Himmler was in charge of the establishment of concentration camps and the internment of Jews and others and directed Hitler's extermination campaign. He was captured by the British in 1945 and committed suicide shortly thereafter by taking poison. Tattered bottom edge. File holes at left blank margin. Lightly creased. Overall, fine condition.
