Typescript signed: "Helen Miller" in blue ink. One page. 8½x11. Typescript of After The Glory (1958). The American author, Helen Topping Miller (1884-1960) began writing at a very young age and had her first story published at only 15 years old. While teaching in Macon Georgia, Miller wrote several short stories, serials and poems for different national magazines. The author had Sharon, a light romance and her first book-length novel, published in 1931. After writing several light romance novels, she made the shift to historical fiction, writing Dark Sails: A Tale of Old St. Simons (1946). Throughout her career, Miller wrote over 40 novels, 11 serials and 314 short stories. Fine condition.
