Typed Note Signed: “Henry Beckman”1p, 8½x11. Typed note from Beckman at footer. To
“Dear Suzan Lane”. In part: “Thank you for returning my notations. best of luck with your
project...hope to among the millions of viewers...” Actor Henry Beckman (1921-2008) was
primarily known for his television roles, appearing in series such as Flash Gordon (1954),
I'm Dickens, He's Fenster (1962), and Here Comes the Bride (1968). Beckman's television
career was very successful, and he appeared in many recurring roles, but appeared only in a few
films. He did, however, appear in a number of Broadway plays, including The Golden State
(1950) and Darkness at Noon (1951). Beckman and his wife, Cheryl Maxwell, founded the
Dukes Oak Theatre in New York, with Beckman serving as the theatre's company producer.
