facsimile signature on front of a $1.00 U.S. Federal Reserve Note, 6x2½, Series
1963 A. Henry H. Fowler (1908-2000) of Virginia was Director of the Office of
Defense Mobilization under President Truman (1950-1953) and Secretary of the
Treasury under President Lyndon Johnson (1965-1969). A lawyer, he was a
member of Americans for Democratic Action (ADA) and the Council on Foreign
Relations. After leaving government, he joined the investment firm of Goldman,
Sachs. Fine condition.
