Autograph Letter signed: "H. H. Armstead", 1p, 4¼x6. Studio, Bridge
Place, Eccleston Bridge (London), 1890 December 8. To "Dear Mr.
Gotto", in full: "I accept with pleasure the kind invitation to
the Students Soirée on Dec. 18th. Believe me very sincerely". Henry Hugh
Armstead (1828-1905), English silversmith, illustrator and sculptor, executed
works for the Albert Memorial in Kensington Gardens, the Colonial Office, King's
College/Cambridge, the Law Courts and Winchester Cathedral. His illustrated a
new edition of the Bible. Lightly soiled. Otherwise, fine
condition.
