American character actor Henry Jones (1912-1999) compiled three decades
of Broadway credits (1931-1961), receiving a Tony for Best Featured Actor in
Sunrise at Campobello (1959). He played Senator Seab Cooley in Advise
and Consent (1960-1961) and the murdered handyman in The Bad Seed,
reprising that role in the 1956 film. He made 80 appearances on the big screen,
including supporting roles in major films like Vertigo and Butch
Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. He appeared on TV for over four decades,
beginning with a guest spot on the Burns and Allen show in 1950. He had
recurring roles on several series, including that of the title character's
father-in-law on Phyllis (1975-1977). Three filing holes at left edge.
