Photograph signed: "Henry/Mancini," in black ink. Color. 3½x5. Composer Henry Mancini (1924-1994) won his first Academy Award for Best Song in 1961 for "Moon River" (from Breakfast at Tiffany's). In 1962, he won his second Oscar for "The Days of Wine and Roses". Mancini won the first Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1958 with The Music from Peter Gunn and Grammy Awards for Record of the Year in 1961 ("Moon River") and 1963 ("The Days of Wine and Roses"). Among his other notable scores are The Pink Panther (three Grammys), Hatari (one Grammy), Victor/Victoria (an Oscar) and the TV series Mr. Lucky (two Grammys). Mancini, who recorded over 50 albums and published 500 works, won a total of 20 Grammys and two Emmy Awards. He was honored on a 37-cent U.S. postage stamp issued on April 13, 2004. Light surface scratches. Lightly bowed and toned. Signature lightly smudged, but legible. Otherwise, fine condition.
