Signed autograph note to an interview host (1957), following his work on DeMille's The Ten Commandments
Autograph Note signed: "To George, whose knowledge/made it so easy for/me to talk on his/program/sincerely/Henry S. Noerdlinger/Feb. 6, 1957", 6¾x5. Lightly creased. Paper and adhesive residue (previous mounting) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition. Accompanied by his business card as Cecil B. DeMille's Research Consultant on The Ten Commandments. Soiled. Staple holes at top and bottom center margins. Swiss-born American movie assistant Henry S. Noerdlinger (1905-1985) worked for MGM Studios in translation and research before producer/director Cecil B. DeMille hired him as a personal assistant in 1945. In that capacity, he did research for several of DeMille's films: Unconquered (1947), Samson and Delilah (1949), The Greatest Show on Earth (1952) and The Ten Commandments (1956). After DeMille's death he worked on documentary films and served as West Coast president of the National Education Association. This note was addressed to radio/TV interview host George Sanders.
