HENRY WINKLER: FONZIE'S LUNCH BOX
Henry Winkler signs an original metal "The Fonz" lunch box.
Ephemera signed: "Henry Winkler". Metal "The Fonz" Lunch Box,
8½x6¾x4. On October 30, 1973 his 28th birthday, Henry Winkler (born in
1945) joined the popular sitcom Happy Days as Arthur "Fonzie"
Fonzarelli. Although his character was never meant to be the star of the
show, kids of all ages were imitating his leather-jacketed greaser with his
trademark "Aaaay!" Both before and since Happy Days completed its run
(1983), Winkler appeared in feature films such as Heroes (1977), Night
Shift (1982) and Scream (1996). Beginning with a TV movie, A Smoky
Mountain Christmas (1986), he has also directed. Winkler is the author of a
popular series of children's books featuring "Hank Zipzer, the world's best
underachiever." In 2002, Winkler became the executive producer of the
long-running TV game show Hollywood Squares. It wasn't long before
"Fonz" merchandize, such as this lunch box, was snapped up by eager fans.
