Autograph Envelope Signed: "1830/ Coventry February Sixth/ Mrs. Wheler/ Seamington
Hastings/ Dunchurch" 4¾x2½. Affixed to a 5¼x3½ sheet of paper. Red wax seal still
remaining on upper left corner. Henry Hood, 2nd Viscount Hood (1753-1836), was the
youngest son of Samuel Hood, the famed British admiral well remembered for his
service in both the American Revolutionary War and French Revolutionary Wars. He
inherited the title of Viscount Hood upon his father's death in 1816. Both envelope
fragment and slip of paper to which it is affixed are irregularly cut. Toned, with staining at
center. Otherwise, fine condition.
