In Full: "Dear Mr. Zimmer: I recall receiving your earlier letter. I thought I had provided the autograph you requested. However, my secretary was unable to find you letter in the file of autograph requests. We then found it in a pile awaiting action. I am enclosing the autographed cover, an autographed photo, and an autographed 'Sequel' (on the Nobel), along with my apologies. Sincerely your,". Herbert C. Brown (1912-2004) shared the 1979 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Georg Wittig for their development of the use of boron- and phosphorus-containing compounds into important reagents in organic synthesis.
