Extremely rare signature from the Broadway and television on a
sepia-toned headshot
Photograph signed: "Best wishes/Herbert Nelson", in blue ink,
Sepia 8x10. Herbert Nelson (1913-1990)was a stage and film actor, making
his acting debut in the 1941 Broadway play The Night Before
Christmas. He appeared in one more Broadway play before making the
transition to film and television, most notably appearing in Hancock's
Half Hour (1959), Days of our Lives (1972), and Future Cop
(1976). His last acting role was in the 1978 television movie Cops and
Robin, before he retired from acting. Slightly bowed. Corners worn and
creased, esp. top right corner. Pencil notes (unknown hand) on verso. Slightly
soiled. Light surface creases. Otherwise, fine condition.
