B/w, 10x8 overall, image 9½x7 (one surface). Publicity photograph featuring the cast of the TV Western, High Chaparral, which aired from 1967-1971. This photograph was likely taken in 1967, as TED MARKLAND played "Reno" from 1967-1969. Captioned at lower margin: "High Chaparral Ted Markland as 'Reno'". The High Chaparral was a ranch in 1870s Arizona Territory. Leif Erickson led the cast as Big John Cannon, the owner of the ranch, and Cameron Mitchell played his brother, Buck Cannon. HARRY DARROW played Manolito Montoya, the brother of John's wife, Victoria Montoya Cannon (played by Linda Cristal, who won a Golden Globe for the role in 1970 and was nominated for a Golden Globe in 1971). BOB HOY played Joe Butler (born Robert F. Hoy - died 2/9/2010) was a stuntman and actor widely known and respected as a western performer. He has hundreds of credits dating back to 1950, including The Rockford Files and Cannon (1975), Dallas (1978-1982), Magnum P.I. (1981-1986) and Detective (2005). His movies include: Bite the Bullet, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Bronco Billy, The Enforcer and Nevada Smith. Hoy was equally known for his stunt work -doubling for Charles Bronson, Tony Curtis, Tyrone Power, Telly Sevalas, Jay Silverheals and many more. He is enshrined in the Stuntman's Hall of Fame. DON COLLIER was Sam Butler. Slightly creased at lower corners. Light black ink mark at lower margin. Fine condition.
