HIGH CHAPPARAL TV CAST: ROBERT LANSING, ANTHONY CARUSO, PEPE HERN, BILL SHANNON and JERRY GATLIN. Document signed: "Robert Lansing", "Anthony Caruso" (who has signed twice), "Pepe Hern", "Bill Shannon" and "Jerry Gatlin", 11x8½. Tucson, Arizona, (1967) June 7-13. Meal Allowance Roster for members of the cast. Each has signed next to the total amount. These actors were not the stars of the series, but the guest stars of an episode titled "Mark of the Turtle", broadcast 1967 December 10. It is an interesting collection of Western-oriented supporting actors. LANSING (1928-1994) appeared on stage and in films for more than 40 years, often in SF roles on screen (4D Man, 1959; Empire of the Ants (1977). He was most successful on television, however, starring in several series including 87th Precinct (1961-1962), 12 O'Clock High (1964-1965), The Equalizer (1985-1989) and Kung Fu: the Legend Continues. CARUSO (1916-2003), who made his first film in 1940 and was a frequent TV guest star from the 1950s, was usually cast as a villain. This show was no exception; he portrayed a bandit leader, El Lobo. HERN and SHANNON played many supporting roles, mostly in Westerns, on both TV and the big screen. Hern was usually cast in Hispanic parts. GATLIN was a character actor and stunt man, also specializing in Westerns. Staple holes at left margin. Slight fraying at top edge. Processing date added with punch holes in lower left. Ink stain touches but does not obscure the show title and location. Overall, fine condition.
