Inscribed Photograph Signed: "To Doris/Sincerely/Hobart Cavanaugh." Sepia, 5x7. Hobart Cavanaugh (1886-1950) was an American stage and film actor, who was born in Virginia City, Nevada. He made his film debut in the 1928 film San Francisco Nights. After quickly establishing himself in the film industry, Cavanaugh busied himself over the next twenty-two years appearing in over 190 film titles including No Marriage Ties (1933), Two Against the World (1936), Career (1939), The Magnificent Dope (1942), Little Iodine (1946), and his last appearance in Stella in 1950. Lightly bowed. Lightly silvered. Otherwise, fine condition.
