HOLIDAY FOR LOVERS MOVIE CAST: JANE WYMAN and CLIFTON WEBB
Both actors signed this 9x7 still from the film.
Photograph signed: "Jane Wyman", "Clifton Webb". B/w 9x6¾. Shown with Jill St. John and an unidentified soldier in movie still from Holiday for Lovers (1959). Holiday for Lovers was a romantic comedy, pairing Webb and Wyman as husband and wife accompanying their teenage daughters on a trip to South America. Actress JANE WYMAN (1917-2007, born Sarah Jane Fulks) was married to future U.S. President Ronald Reagan from 1940 to 1948, and was the mother of his children Michael and Maureen. Emerging as a major film star with The Lost Weekend (1945), she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for Johnny Belinda (1948), and was nominated for Best Actress Oscar for The Yearling (1946), The Blue Veil (1951) and The Magnificent Obsession (1954). She hosted a twice Emmy-nominated dramatic anthology on TV, The Jane Wyman Show (1955-1958), and returned to the small screen as the ruthless Angela Channing on the series, Falcon Crest (1981-1990). Multitalented CLIFTON WEBB (1891-1966) acted in a few silents in the 1920s before performing on the stage in London and New York. In 1944, he earned the first of his three Oscar nominations for Laura. Webb was also nominated for The Razor's Edge (1946) and Sitting Pretty (1948, the first of his 3 films portraying "Mr. Belvedere). Multiple surface creases. Notes (unknown hand) on verso (no show-through). Lightly soiled on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
