HONOR BLACKMAN (1925-2020) realized major stardom in 1962, when she was cast as leather-clad karate expert Cathy Gale in the British TV adventure series The Avengers (until recently, U.S. audiences were permitted to see only The Avengers episodes featuring Blackman's successors, Diana Rigg and Linda Thorson). International stardom ensued when Blackman was seen in another martial-arts gig as the gloriously adept Pussy Galore in Goldfinger(1964). She has played a wide variety of roles since, with special emphasis on droll comedy. EDWARD CHAPMAN (1901-1977) was an English-born actor who made his screen debut as Captain Boyle in the 1929 film The Shame of Mary Boyle. Throughout his career, Chapman appeared in more than 108 titles including Murder! (1930), Things to Come (1936), X: The Unknown (1956), and Champion House (1967). Chapman was no stranger to the stage, having appeared in a multitude of productions including Candida (1937), She Stoops to Conquer (1938-1939), A Midsummer Night's Dream (1938-1939), and An Enemy of the People (1938-1939). Lightly toned at edges. Right edge frayed from binding. Minor unknown residue on verso (not affecting signature and no show-through). Otherwise, fine condition.
