MATTHAU (1920-2000) won the 1966 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as lawyer "Whiplash" Willie Gingrich in The Fortune Cookie. He was also nominated for Best Actor Oscars for Kotch and The Sunshine Boys. He co-starred with Jack Lemmon in 11 films, including The Fortune Cookie, two Odd Couples and two Grump(ier) Old Men. On stage, screen and television, powerhouse actress JACKSON displays a fierce intelligence and a brazen toughness. She worked closely with director Ken Russell, first appearing in his adaptation of D.H. Lawrence's Women in Love (1969) as Gudrun. The role earned Jackson the first of two Academy Awards. In 1971, she was nominated for another Oscar for Sunday, Bloody Sunday, and earned her second award for the romantic comedy A Touch of Class (1973). In 1971, she also won an Emmy for playing Queen Elizabeth on the highly acclaimed British miniseries Elizabeth R. Other notable television appearances include the title role in the moving account of Patricia Neal's recovery from a stroke, The Patricia Neal Story (1981). Hopscotch is the tale of two ex-CIA agents on the run after sending the agency the first chapter of his tell-all book. Fine condition.
