HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING MOVIE CAST: ROBERT MORSE and MICHELE LEE. Photograph signed: "Robert Morse" and "Michele Lee". B/w, 10x8. Movie still from the 1967 musical comedy that tells the story of an ambitious young window cleaner, J. Pierpont Finch (Morse), who joins a multi-national company working in the mail room. He rises to Vice-President in Charge of Advertising (using sneaky and dubious means) and slowly falls in love with secretary Rosemary Pilkington (Lee). Born in 1931, ROBERT MORSE made his film debut in 1956's Proud and the Profane. He was more successful on Broadway, co-starring in the musicals Say Darling and Take Me Along. In Frank Loesser's 1961 Pulitzer Prize-winning How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Morse entered Broadway Valhalla when he sang the show's big romantic song "I Believe in You". He won a Tony award for his performance, and reprised the role for this film version. He went on to star in another long-running Broadway effort, Sugar. In 1990, Morse returned to Broadway (and won another Tony in the bargain) for his one-man Truman Capote show, Tru. Born Michele Dusiak in 1942, singer/actress MICHELE LEE is perhaps best known for her Emmy-nominated role as Karen Fairgate McKenzie on Knot's Landing (beginning in 1979). In addition to her television success, Lee was also a stage performer, appearing in Broadway's How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (she reprised her role as Rosemary Pilkington in this film version) and receiving a Tony nomination for the 1973 musical Seesaw. Lee, who has also appeared in a number of made-for-TV films, has also starred in such feature films as The Love Bug (1968) and The Comic (1969). The wife of actor James Farentino from 1966-1983, Lee had been married to television producer Frank Rappoport since 1987. Fine condition.
