HOWARD KEEL and BARBARA WINDSOR
Peach-colored album leaf signed by actors Howard Keel and Barbara Windsor
Signatures: "Howard Keel" and "Barbara/Windsor/x", both in blue ink. Blue ink notations in top right corner. KEEL (1919-2004) first appeared on the stage in Broadway's Carousel and in the London production of Oklahoma!. He was later a favorite leading man in the heyday of Hollywood musical comedies. He starred in such hits as Annie Get Your Gun (1950), Showboat (1951), Kiss Me Kate (1953) and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954). His most recent on-camera credit was the supporting role of Clayton Farlow on the TV series Dallas (1981-1991), but he made TV guest appearances into the 1990s. British actor WINDSOR, born in 1937, received a Tony award nomination for her performance in Oh What a Lovely War (1964-1965). She made her film debut in an uncredited role as a squealy schoolgirl in The Belles of St. Trinian's (1953) and found plenty of work as a squealy dumb blonde in such movies as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1963) and in 13 Carry On movies (1964-1977). She lost work in movies when dumb blondes became unfashionable, but continued her work in TV, most notably as Peggy Mitchell on Eastenders (1994-2009), as well as a 2006 episode of Doctor Who. As of this biography, Windsor has appeared in over 60 movies and TV shows since 1953. Lightly toned, foxed and creased. Howard's signature is lightly smeared but legible. Random ink stains, which touch Windsor's signature. Light discoloration at left edge (does not touch signature). Cut and torn from album at right edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
