HOWARD KEELThe actor who starred in MGM musicals throughout the 1950s signed this check Check Signed: “Howard Keel” in ink. 7½x3½. Dated March 8, 1974. Paid in the amount of $44 to Richard B. Tepper, MD. Howard Keel (1919-2004) first appeared on the stage in Broadway's Carousel (1957) and in the London production of Oklahoma! (1943-1948). He was later a favorite leading man in the heyday of Hollywood musical comedies. He starred in hits like Annie Get Your Gun (1950), Showboat (1951), Kiss Me Kate (1953), and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954). From 1981 to 1991, Keel portrayed the wealthy and brash Clayton Farlow on the television series Dallas (1978-1991). In season 8, he became a series regular and stayed on the show until its final episode. His final credited role in front of the camera was as Roy Mardis in the independent film My Father's House (2002), directed by Larry Holden. Regular bank perforations and stamping.
