Howard Wallace Pollock (1920-2011) was an American politician and Republican congressman from Alaska. He studied law at the University of Santa Clara in California and at the University of Houston, Texas, receiving his degree from the latter. Afterward, Pollock did some postgraduate studies at MIT, earning his M.S. in industrial management. In 1941, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Second World War. From 1953 to 1955, Pollock served in the Alaska Territorial Legislature. He then moved on to the Alaska Senate, serving as a Republican to the 90th and 91st Congresses. After retiring from Congress, Pollock was president of the National Rifle Association from 1983 to 1985. Light staining on verso. Pencil notes (unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
