Howland Chamberlin (1911-1984), sometimes spelled Chamberlain, was a character actor praised for his performances in The Best Years of Our Lives (1946), Force of Evil (1948) and High Noon (1952). His film career crashed abruptly after he pleaded the Fifth Amendment before the House Un-American Activities Committee, but he remained active on the New York stage and in several television spots. (He played both twin radium thieves in the episode "Double Trouble" of The Adventures of Superman (1952). He returned to film as the judge in Kramer vs Kramer (1979). Edges at all sides trimmed unevenly. Stray ink dots scattered on the page. Lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
