Argentine singer, actor and director Hugo del Carril
(1912-1989) parlayed his popularity as a radio tango singer into major
film stardom in his native country. Turning his talents to directing, he created
the critically praised River of Blood (1952). Del Carril was the first to
sing the "Peronist March," the anthem of the Peronist movement, in 1949.
Lightly worn and toned at edges. Mounting residue on verso. Otherwise, fine
condition.
