INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM
Miniature mine cart wheels used in the filming, framed with a poster and a color image from the movie to 10½x8½
Ephemera, unsigned. A pair of painted resin wheels (1½" each) used on a miniature mine card actually used during the filming of the climactic chase scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). Framed with reproductions of a poster for the film and a movie still showing the full-size version of the cart, to an overall size of 10½x8½. The film, directed by Stephen Spielberg and starring Harrison Ford, won an Oscar for Best Visual Effects. The movie adventures of daredevil archaeologist Indiana Jones began with Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981, continued with Indiana Jones and the Lost Crusade (1989), and added an unexpected finish in 2008 with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls. The series paid homage to the serial films of the 1930s and increased the already great popularity of actor Ford and director Spielberg. Fine condition. Not framed in the Gallery of History style.
