Signed in black felt tip. In 1976, Ann Rice published Interview with the
Vampire, the first volume of her Vampire Chronicles. To date the novel has
sold 8 million copies worldwide. It was made into an Oscar-nominated film in
1994, starring Tom Cruise as Lestat de Lioncourt, Brad Pitt as
Louis de Pointe du Lac and Kirsen Dunst as Claudia. The star-studded cast
also included Antonio Banderas, Steven Rae and Christian Slater. BRAD PITT
(b. 1963), dubbed by "People Magazine" in 1994 as "the sexiest man
alive", wasnominated for an Oscar as Best Supporting Actor for 12
Monkeys (1997). His other noteworthy films include Thelma and Louise
(1991), A River Runs Through It (1992), Legends of the Fall
(1994), Seven (1995), Meet Joe Black (in a sympathetic portrayal
of Death), Spy Games (2001) and Ocean's Eleven (2001, and
its sequels). In 2005, Pitt co-starred in Mr. & Mrs. Smith
opposite Anjelina Jolie, who became his partner after his divorce from
Jennifer Anniston. In 2011, Pitt starred as Oakland A's general manager Billy
Beane in Moneyball. Three time Oscar-nominated actor TOM CRUISE (b.
1962) has had success both as an action hero (as in Top Gun and
Mission Impossible, 1996 and sequels, and in serious dramatic
roles (Born On the Fourth of July, 1989; Magnolia, 1999).
Other popular Cruise films include Risky Business (1983), The Color of
Money (1986), Rain Man (1988), Jerry Maguire (1996),
Minority Report (2002), War of the Worlds (2005) and
Valkyrie (2007, as anti-Hitler hero Claus von Stauffenberg). Cruise's
outspoken adherence to the Church of Scientology has been controversial. Fine
