Autograph Note signed: "to Mr. R. Becker/Avec tous mes voeux[with all my wishes]/Irene Bordoni/1932", 6x4¼. Ink note at bottom (unknown hand) dates the signature as May 9, 1932. Corsican-born American musical comedy star Irene Bordoni (1895-1953) debuted on the New York stage in Broadway to Paris (1912). By the 1920s she was a major Broadway star, introducing Cole Porter's "Let's Do It" in Paris (1928-1929) and Irving Berlin's "It's a Lovely Day Tomorrow" in Louisiana Purchase (1940-1941). She also appeared in the film versions of both of these musicals. Bordoni's last role was that of Bloody Mary on tour in South Pacific (1951). Three binding holes at left edge. Lightly creased and toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
