IRVING BERLIN. TLS: "Irving", 1p,
7½x10. No place, 1972 December 29. The songwriter whose works
include "God Bless America", "White Christmas" and Annie Get Your Gun,
writes to songwriter Harry Ruby ("Three Little Words", "Who's Sorry Now?"). In
full: "Thanks for your letter of the 17th. The chances of doing
another Music Box revue are very slim. However, if I ever get around to it,
I will be my own rehearsal pianist because, over the years, my piano
playing hasn't gotten any worse. How about yours? Seriously, I would love
to do another show but it takes more than just money and 'talent' to do a
musical these days. With love to you and Eileen." Dark stain in upper
left edge, slight surface creases, usual folds, else fine.
