Photograph inscribed and signed (in Spanish, translated): "Isabel

Aires 1930". B/w, 5x7. Argentine lyric soprano Isabel Marengo debuted
at Teatro Colón in 1926 as Micaela in Carmen. A star performer at the
famed Buenos Aires opera house, she was on stage for the premier of
Sirpio (1937), composed by Argentina's own Felipe Boero. Toned. Corners
rounded and worn. Small tear in upper left margin. Ink notes on verso in unknown
hand. Ink stamp on verso. Small stains on verso. Otherwise, fine
condition.
