The Spanish singer signs a letter in 1947 from her London studios. A rare signature!
Typed letter signed: "Isabelita Alonso", in black ink, 1 page, 8x5. London, England, January 3, 1947. To "Dear Mr. Warren," in full, "I have pleasure in sending you an autographed photograph and would like to thank you for your appreciative letter [not included]. It is always pleasant to hear from those who understand and enjoy my work. Yours sincerely". Isabelita Alonso was a Spanish singer and performer who was popular in London. In 1963 she collaborated with Karen James to produce the album Children's Songs from Spain. Alonso was also featured in motion picture shorts, as seen with The Amado Estudiantina singing, "Alma Llamera." Her versatile voice led to roles in operas and musicals. Creased down center. "Isa" of Isabelita illegible (beaded). Lightly creased throughout. Staple holes at top edge.
