Photograph Signed: "Arnold Stang" in blue felt tip and "Marvin/ Kaplan" in black felt tip. B/w, 8x10. A scene from the 1963 film It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World featuring the comedy character actors as gas station attendants. In addition to appearing in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World together, Stang and Kaplan co-starred in 24 episodes of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series, Top Cat, with Stang as the voice of the title role and Kaplan as the voice of Choo Choo. ARNOLD STANG (1925-2009) worked steadily on radio in supporting roles to Eddie Cantor, Jack Benny, and Milton Berle. One of his more notable movie roles was as Sinatra's loyal pal Sparrow in Man with the Golden Arm (1955). MARVIN KAPLAN (1927-2016) played a hapless court stenographer in the 1949 Hepburn-Tracy film Adam's Rib, and later was Henry, a regular customer at Mel's Diner in the television sitcom, Alice (1976-1985). More recently he appeared in Becker (1998-2004), Dark and Stormy Night (2009), and the short Autism and Cake (2012). Kaplan also found work as a voice-over actor, lending his talented to various animated movies and series throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Fine condition.
