for the singer to appear in eight episodes of The Jerry Lewis Show. Jack Jones
(1938-2024), born John Allan Jones, was one of the most popular vocalists of the 1960s.
The winner of two Grammy Awards for Best Performance by a Male Singer, his hits
include "Lollipops and Roses", "Call Me Irresponsible", "Wives and Lovers/Toys in the Attic",
"Love With the Proper Stranger", "Dear Heart", "The Race is On", "Love Bug", "The
Impossible Dream (The Quest)", "If You Ever Leave Me" and "The Love Boat Theme". Jones
also appeared in several films, from Juke Box Rhythm (1959) to Airplane II: The Sequel
(1982), and he was a frequent guest on TV variety shows and series, from The Steve
Allen Show (1957) to The Love Boat (1980). The son of actors Allan Jones (whose
signature hit was "Donkey Serenade") and Irene Hervey, Jones was married to his second
wife, actress Jill Saint John, from 1967-1969. Binding holes at top margins. Lightly creased.
