Autograph letter signed: "Jack Livesey" in blue ink. 2 pages front and verso, 8½x11. In part: "I am a resident alien here in U.S.A. arrived here May 19th 1953. Hope to be an American Citizen sometime in 1958. During World War II in London worked for BBC also a Special Consulate at Scotland Yard - also belonged to the Home Guard - worked fine watcher et. - Sports - passionately fond of cricket - also could play gold - tennis - soccer (football) - billiards - + snooker". Jack Livesey (1901-1961, born in Barry, South Wales, England) was a Welsh actor with 40 movies and TV shows and three Broadway shows, including Look Back in Anger (1957-1958, 407 performances), to his credit between 1918 and 1963. He was the son of actor Sam Livesey and brother of actors Roger and Barry Livesey. Theatre World, founded in 1945 by Daniel Blum, is America's oldest annual record of Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional theatre, referenced by industry professionals, historians, students and theatre fans worldwide. Until 1998, when a separate nonprofit corporation was established, Theatre World's editorial staff bestowed the prestigious Theatre World Awards for outstanding Broadway and Off-Broadway debuts.
