Photograph signed: "Jack Mulhall/11-30-78". B/w, 8x10. Jack Mulhall (1887-1979), a vaudeville singer in his youth, appeared in his first silent film in 1913 and was a favorite leading man of the 1920s, often paired with Dorthy Mackaill. In all he made over 430 films. Mostly consigned to secondary roles by the mid-1930s, a devolution he never understood, Mulhall made his last feature film, Atomic Submarine, in 1959, but he remained active on the board of the Screen Actors Guild. He appeared in several TV series, including Dragnet and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. The handsome Mulhall was also a model for commercial products, including Arrow Shirts. Slightly creased at lower corners. Otherwise, fine condition.
