Publicity photograph for Warner Bros.' 1976 film, The Ritz, which was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Picture - Musical or Comedy and for which Weston received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor - Musical or Comedy for his role as Gaetano Procio. Weston is pictured with Treat Williams, who played Michael Brick. Others in the cast included Rita Moreno (Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress - Musical or Comedy), Jerry Stiller and Kaye Ballard. In 1950, actor Jack Weston (1924-1996), born Jack Weinstein, began getting featured roles on Broadway and TV, then entered movies in 1958. With intermittent breaks, he remained busy in films throughout the next three decades. In the mid 1970s, Weston gained new popularity as the star of Neil Simon's play California Suite. His other film credits include The High Road to China (1983), The Longshot (1986), Dirty Dancing (1987) and Short Circuit II (1988). Diagonal crease at lower left background touches the "J" in Jack, creased at upper and lower blank corners. Ink smudged at the "ton" of Weston. Lightly soiled at lower left blank margin. Vertical black line at lower blank margin on verso (light show through). Soiled on verso (no show through). Overall, fine condition.
