Jackie Mason signs a contract to appear on Perry Como's Kraft
Music Hall.
Partly Printed Contract signed: "Jackie Mason", 9p, 8½x11. No
place, 1960 December 29. Countersigned: "Harvey B. Sindle"
as Assistant Secretary of Roncom Productions. One page initialed by Mason.
Contract between Mason and Roncom Productions whereby he agrees to be guest
artist on Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall to be taped April 14, 1961 and to
air on April 19, 1961, from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM for $1500. Perry Como hosted
the Kraft Music Hall from 1959-1963. This contract was with Como's
production company, Roncom. Mason was only 26 when he performed on the
Kraft Music Hall. He was a frequent guest on The Ed Sullivan
Show later in the 1960s until an unfortunate incident involving a finger
resulted in Mason being forever banned from the show. In 1987, Mason received a
special Tony Award for his one-man show, The World According to Me and is
still performing on Broadway. Left corner staple holes. Fine
condition.
