Signature: "J.M. Campbell/ Johnstown/ Pa." 7¼x3¼. Jacob Miller Campbell (1821-1888) was
an American congressman from Pennsylvania. A Civil War veteran who fought on the
side of the Union, before the war Campbell was affiliated with a Pittsburgh magazine
publishing company. From 1877 to 1879, Campbell served as a member of the 45th
Congress. Although he ran for another congressional term in 1886, he was unsuccessful in his
bid. Lightly toned. Corners and edges gently worn. Left edge irregular from being torn from
album. Otherwise, fine condition.
